Highway became a Responsible Care Partner in 2008, reinforcing our commitment to continuously improving safety, environmental performance and operational responsibility throughout our organization.
That commitment has earned Highway Transport multiple Responsible Care® Partner of the Year awards, recognizing our strong safety performance and responsible transportation of chemicals.
Highway Transport Logistics is honored to receive the Responsible Care® Partner of the Year Award. The Responsible Care® organization recognizes partners with superb performance and safety records involved in the transportation of chemicals. The award was presented in 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2024!
In 2025, Highway reached another milestone when the American Chemistry Council named us the first-ever recipient of the Responsible Care Partner Sustainability Award.
Putting Sustainability Into Action
Through our Green Treads environmental initiative, Highway continues to identify practical ways to reduce our environmental impact while maintaining the safety and service our customers depend on.
Our efforts include:
- Monitoring and reporting emissions
- Reducing truck idle time
- Implementing electric HVAC and EPU technology to reduce unnecessary idling
- Training drivers and support personnel on sustainable practices
- Utilizing emissions-control technologies at our service centers
- Partnering with EPA SmartWay
- Continuing our commitment to the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care program
These efforts are driven by Highway Transport employees across our organization—from our professional drivers to our service center and support teams.
