Responsible Care® & Sustainability Conference

Highway Transport attends 35th Annual Conference & Expo. The event brings together two foundational industry priorities – Responsible Care and Sustainability – to help manufacturers and the supply chain work together to solve our world’s most pressing  sustainability challenges.

The Responsible Care® organization recognizes partners with superb performance and safety records involved in the transportation of chemicals.

This conference provides educational and networking opportunities for American Chemistry Council members, supply chain partners, and other stakeholders. The conference highlights industry sustainability initiatives as well as strategic enhancements to Responsible Care, the industry’s environmental, health, safety and security performance initiative.

Responsible Care® is a global initiative that began in Canada in 1984, was enacted by the U.S. chemical industry in 1988, and today is practiced in 68 economies around the world.

Knoxville-based Highway Transport, which provides bulk transportation of specialty chemicals, became a Responsible Care® Partner in 2005 and was recognized as Partner of the Year in 2019.
