Illinois Special Olympics Truck Convoy

A Highway Transport professional chemical tanker driver operates the tanker truck, and Highway is proud to serve as a sponsor and participant of Truck Convoy for Special Olympics. Highway Transport participates support of the athletes of Special Olympics.

Here at Highway Transport, we are proud and excited to support the 2022 Truck Convoy for Special Olympics in Illinois. This event is driving change and delivering acceptance for thousands of Special Olympics athletes.

HISTORY: Nationally, the convoy was founded in 2001 by Norm Schneiderhan, a corporal with Orange County (FL) Sheriff’s Department. Schneiderhan, whose family is involved with the trucking industry, was inspired by the powerful impact Special Olympics has had on his life.

SCHEDULE:

8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.: Participant Check-In/Registration

9:40 a.m.: Live Auction – Lead Truck

9:45 a.m.: Convoy Line Up

10 a.m.: Convoy Leaves Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre

11 a.m.: Convoy Returns to Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre

11 a.m. : Lunch, Awards and Raffle Prizes

DETAILS:
The Tinley park Truck Convoy, hosted by the Tinley Park Police Department, will take place on Saturday, October 8 at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre located at 19100 Ridgeland Ave in Tinley Park. Registration is $100 per truck and includes an official Convoy goody bag (while supplies last) and lunch for each driver.
